CAPITALISM IS CANCER

What is a cancer? A cancer is a cell, or a group of cells, displaying uncontrolled growth, beyond the normal limits.

It strikes me that, as each splinter of our amazing new technology emerges, each shard is picked up &  boldly envisaged & realised by capitalist entrepreneurs - this is understandable as our culture is still deeply infected with  the cancer of Capitalism.

The need for collectively owned alternatives is clear, yet these do not appear to be forthcoming, despite the ease with which  they could be offered - with the proliferation of open source alternatives to the big players' services it should be all too simple.

My guess is that our open source programmers must be saving up for one big push, a simultaneous release of collectively owned alternatives, possibly in league with some of the big companies who have felt the direction the wind is blowing. A Revolution.

Thats a conspiracy theory, anyway, but it is the kind of conspiracy I like - provided any big-name 'collaborators' understand that collective ownership of the means of communication is essential. The internet is an extension of human consciousness, there cannot be 'for sale' signs in our own mind.

What is a cancer? A cancer is a cell, or a group of cells, displaying uncontrolled growth, beyond the normal limits.

This is not a metaphor, each of us is a cell in a collective mind. It is my view that this has always been the case, but that we have lost contact with this collective mindset due to the onslaught of  messages to GROW GROW GROW from the cancerous cells. It is not important whether my view is correct, whether the internet is allowing us to access a lost form of collective consciousness, or whether this collective consciousness IS the internet - the fact remains that I AM.

  1. This is all a joke. Does life itself not conform to the above definition of a 'cancer'? Capitalism is the way the Cult of the Individual has organised itself at this time, this cult is just a stage in the development of our species, the equivalent of the "me period" that a toddler goes through. The child cannot live it's life like this, but one cannot direct such angry words at the child or it will not develop x
